Ganesha stamp collage

I finished waxing the Ganesha today.  I had John hang it right in front of me so I can keep looking at it.  I really enjoyed this project and glad to have it done and out of my way.  It was a big challenge and I feel really good about how it turned out.  Nam Myoho Renge Kyo.

Tanker gelli station

In between working on the Ganesha I finally got my tanker gelli station all set up.  It has been so hard not to abandon the stamp collage for gelli printing.  You addicts out there will understand that.

We went to the fair Friday night and my husband found this cool stuff at a antique store we entered for the air conditioning.  It was too hot in there for me to see but he has a great eye!  The Ingento paper cutter was only 8 bucks!  It is a great 12" size so it will live on top of the desk!  It is really sharp but has no guard so will have to be very careful when using it.  I don't have any cigar boxes this size and got both for $3.00.  What a steal!  I also found a great cloth basket but had to put it in the other room because the lady had stitched the darn thing full of cat hair.  We are both allergic to it.

My view

Painting done, cleaned and washed the Pyrex and did the displays above the cabinet.  My view is great!  I finally hung the stair picture on the stair wall.  I intended to hang it there when I painted it, I really like it there.  The drapes should be here this week!  Can't wait to see them with the tanker desk.  I told my husband that the next room needed to be painted before they arrived and he just laughed at me.  He does a great job but I'm sick of waiting for it to be done.  I'm sure we will move as soon as it is.  That is always the way it works around here...not that I'm not always ready for the next adventure.

Ganesha stamp collage

Did some work on the slab he is sitting on.

This looks done because I finally made it to the edge.  Will work on the sides and sit with it a little bit.  My stamps determined the colors in the background so I'm not sure about it yet.  I had all those red communists to use up...

Stamp Ganesha collage

Those white train stamps just weren't working with the background.  After a lot of searching my husband reminded me of the Janis stamps!  They fit perfect so on with the background.

He likes to cook and I love to art so the new studio is perfect for both.  I can hang out with him while he bakes delicious fresh peach cobbler!
