Teacher ephemera

Handmade card

I made this card for my niece Erica.  She will be teaching grade school this fall.  Her mother taught me to use copy and paste in photo shop so I made a collage with my old teacher magazines.  I printed it out on some old stationary I've been hoarding.  Love how it turned out and I used some of my stuff!

hand carved stamps

I carved these stamps today.  I like the top one the best.  The others I over corrected.

Anniversary card

Made this card for my husband today.  Our anniversary is coming up.  Used some ephemera  out of my library drawer I keep on my desk.  Having it displayed reminds me to use it in my projects.  Old tickets, cigar bands, and scrapbook paper.  Made an  atc and stored it in that cute little bag on the inside.

Med cap flowers

My niece is a RN.  I am so proud of her.  She is raising two boys, her husband has been deployed and she finished nursing school.  Can you say HIGH ACHIEVER?  She did not have time for this project.  So glad she sent me the caps because I had a great time this morning making badge flowers.  A few are black and gold for MU and then red and blue for KU  even a few purple for K State.  The rest I got to go crazy with!  So fun.

I have a piece of slate.  I'm thinking of painting this streetcar on it.

Easter 2012

Had fun with my new neo color II.  They are so pretty.  Layered with gesso and flower word stamps.  Easter 2012.  The year that everything bloomed together.  The yard is really pretty.

Steam punk New Orleans

I thought y'all might enjoy the steampunk booth I found at the French Market in New Orleans.

I had fun doing these water meters from New Orleans.  It is the latest tourist craze.
