Got my new tin and already out grew it! Dang. This organizes my colors much better and have new set of Daniel Smith coming so left room. 

watercolor practice for the week

 I took this magical photo at the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City, MO. The light was so magical and then I had some fun in photo shop with it.

Tried to paint it with not much luck. The pansy is so flat as well as the clematis. Will try, try again.

New roof on the queen Anne

The roofer's got some great shots with a drone after they finished the other day.

One of them stood on the highest peak talking on the phone the morning they were done. He told his boss he had only an hour left and let out a "mainiac" howl
AAH OOOOL when he hung up!

tarot for the pandemic

My friend and I read the cards at the beginning of this pandemic. So interesting to see how relevant the cards were and we both felt comforted when self healing was final result. Who knew that six months later things would seem still really scary.

purple surprise!

The Easter after Hurricane Katrina we went back to the house to see what had changed. It was a horrible mess down there, everywhere you looked was devastation! Except this little purple surprise! I planted this just outside my front door the summer before and it was not pretty at all, in fact it was not doing anything before the storm because it was August in Mississippi. But somehow it survived the storm and was so beautiful I had to take a picture of it. And then I had to paint it...
