watercolor

 I actually enjoyed painting these little watercolors. 

mixing greens and black

Check out my water...I was mixing blues and reds to get black. So cool! Anyway, I also mixed an entire sheet of greens with my new Daniel Smith watercolors. So pretty. Even as a rookie I can see a difference in the Prima greens and blues compared to Daniel Smith  Those pallets are pretty but chalky and not as natural.

Just swatching watercolor is very relaxing and satisfying.

watercolor practice for the week

 I took this magical photo at the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City, MO. The light was so magical and then I had some fun in photo shop with it.

Tried to paint it with not much luck. The pansy is so flat as well as the clematis. Will try, try again.
