Homegrown smudge stick

Had some fun today with my "homegrown" smudge sticks. I planted a small herb garden near the back steps to help keep ticks off my dogs. White sage, lavender, rosemary, geranium and zinnia for the flowers. The intention was to harvest and make these. Hopefully next year my plants will be a little bigger and I can make more. I gifted my neighbor one because she gave me some pink columbine seeds last spring. Can't wait to see those!

 I found these music box tables on marketplace a while ago. Finally painted one of them to put in my bedroom, I really like it! Plays Dr. Zhivago.

 I'm not sure what to paint next so have been doodling. That is so fun compared to the "real art". I play scrabble and draw little flowers, decided to show because this is about all I've been doing.

 It is August and hurricane season, here comes Henri! Can't lie, I have some left over fear from past storms. We should be okay here in Maine. Dang, you would think...

The neighbor dropped off some heirloom tomatoes she grew!
