zinnia painting
Still working on this little painting. Really is much more fun than struggling with watercolor. Only draw back so far is PAINT all over my new t shirts! I ordered way too many new brushes on Amazon the other day. They won't be here until the 12th....I really only needed a couple but lost all control. Not sure which I enjoy more, doing the art or buying the art supplies?

Zinnia
Had a late start on the flower beds this year. We managed a late season trip to the garden center and I found some large pots of zinnia. Added some herbs for tick control and have a nice little bed to look at everyday. So glad I did, good for the soul. My lavender from last year was really nice and I had a few plants come up from the seeds I sprinkled early. Excited to fill the bed next year.
Back in the flow and so glad to be here.

portal
Didn't get a very good shot of this portal in the sky tonight. I read about some some witchy energy just after dusk so I saged the house and touched my crystals.
I was mad at myself for buying all those Magicals...I had no idea that they were metallic and irritated with the gal that sold them to me when I had passed on another set for just that reason. I explained to her that I was trying to get the perfect Mississippi green on my live oak print, so she knew why I wanted them. Yeah right throw some glitter into that spanish moss and it'll be PERFECT! Whatever, she got me for 100 bucks and I don't even like shimmery paint...I don't even like shiny paint. I can mix them with both alcohol and water. I'm staying away from that place for a while. Really wanted to let her know but maybe she will figure it out. I've walked out of that place twice now with stuff I didn't want or need.

Day two Ken Oliver Color Burst Paint
I did a bunch of backgrounds by applying it directly to wet paper and then did a more controlled version with the powders puffed out on palette. I really like my last version. Finally worked with my molotow resist and it is great stuff!
I need lots of practice but I'm loving this paint even though it does not match the color titles. Also, it is really hard to just puff the correct amount onto the wet page because some colors are much heavier.
