Christmas ornaments

I finished Lily's ornament last night. I'm going to buy another solder iron to finish the others. So cute all made up. Too bad they are too heavy for most trees. Never thought of that...

believe

These are the only surviving ornaments. I will show you the other side tomorrow. Waiting for the E6000 glue to dry. I burned the soldering gun up...right in the middle of my big project. I had a deadline of 2pm Sunday. I look at these now and think they are good. I thought they were terrible two days ago. Anyway. I had to use a memory frame for the two ornaments for mom and grandma. They turned out cute after John drilled tiny holes in the bottoms so I could embellish them with wire and crystal snowflakes. No pictures. No time for that. Ha. My grandson altered Altoids boxes on his own while I rushed to finish up. Turns out, his little tins made a perfect gift box so something from me and him. Wish I had taken pictures.

Now these are mine. All mine. Come back tomorrow for the other side. It is to die for.

white Christmas Tree

I'm showing pictures of the tree and snowflakes because my project is not going so well. Who knew that soldering is an art all its own and that I'm not one of the people that can do it. I do a lot of different kinds of projects and have discovered that I am no good at sewing or soldering. Let's hope I can improve enough in the first to get a robe out of the deal. As for the soldering...I'm married to a plumber, electrician, jack of all trades. He will finish them for me. I wish I would have taken a picture of my burned out project yesterday. Today I burned the tip off my iron. John said he had never seen anything like that before. I don't like art that burns me and that I'm no good at. I'm used to it being an easy thing for me.

crystal snowflakes

I got a great picture of my snowflakes tonight.

Christmas ornaments

I'm ready to solder these. Then, "on to the bling", as Logan would put it. I used my photos and some K and Company scrapbook paper I got at my freight store. I've been collecting the supplies for three years. So fun to have something in my head finally come together.

I am

These paints are really everything they say and more. Love them. Such a rich color but then transparent also.

Merry Christmas to me

Can't wait to try out my new paints in my journal. Doesn't look like much but you girls know how much they cost.
