My facebook garden

Spent some time painting these little flowers off my facebook page. That little pink moth was amazing.  The exact shade of the Osteospermum. I have never seen them before or since.

Inside cover.  Still not happy with it.

square dylusion journal

A little journal play, I liked the purple page before it dried (middle picture).  And my yellow bellied sea snake page needs work. Isn't Riki cute?  He is the most perfect dog I have ever had. Wants to be held at all times, if you are not playing that is. He knows the name of all of his toys. About twenty I would say.

Venetian Pool

Riki got a little too close to the gesso, lucky I noticed before it dried.  He was helping me break in my new 8x8 dylustions journal, John said he would make a cute "got milk" commercial.

My good friend Dave offered an easel to me, after struggling with this huge canvas I took him up on it. I told him I would just borrow it, in case Meg, his daughter wants it back some day.  It was his Dad's.  I hurt my shoulder and will have to take a break before finishing the painting.  My resolution was to quit complaining about my pain, especially on my blog, so that's all.

Haul

My husband needed to go into the next town over today so had him drop me off at the greatest scrap book store ever!  Scrapbook-N-Memories  She always has what I want and more! First trip I bought the stablio pencils, I've been wanting to try the white and replace my black. Love them. Also wanted to try the white marker, needed the glue and ink pad. We drove almost all the way home and I had talked about the dylusions journals the entire way. He said we should go back, so I said hell yeah! I bought them both because I could not decide which one I wanted. Excited to try the new size and work in the square this year.

We found a place for a burger, "The Garage", a converted gas station. It was great but I'm glad to be home with my new goodies.

Amy Farrand & The Like "White Girl Wasted"

This totally reminds me of the last time I drank, I got lost in a daiquiri bar in New Orleans. My sweet husband had to find a cab to take him back to our car, we had ridden the streetcar and I couldn't stand the thought of swaying our way back to the quarter.  In the mean time my sister had a few more daiquiri's and I sobered up.  Ha.  She had a crying jag that  magically disappeared the moment we got to the beach in Waveland . Good times...never did find Tricia.

Venetian Pool

Still not sure about my water colors but started on the lifeguard stand anyway. My many pictures of this pool have gotten me in to trouble.  I enjoyed the surreal photo for the shade section of the pool but it may not work with the true color I want to use for the main body.

Venetian Pool

 My painting buddy.

I'm using several different pictures to paint this pool.  The pink one is only for the grid, the tiny snapshot is the closer to the true color of the rock, then another shot for the pool color.  I have to be careful which one I look at while painting because I catch myself using the wrong one.

After looking at this all day I'm not thrilled with my water so far.  Will move on and see, that is one good thing about painting, you can paint over if need be. Or "over paint", as I do.  Like every freaking time...

Venetian Pool

Painted the moss onto that wall.  Love it so far.  Can't wait to see the pool.  I'm almost ready to put the lifeguard stand in.  I think that will help with the perspective.

Although it has been many years since my husband and I swam in this pool I can still remember every detail.  We have been married for thirty three years, so I have so many wonderful memories of our life together, this day is one of the highlights for sure.
