I started this painting a year ago while we were here to buy the place. So sick of looking at this I'm calling it done.

Had some great art buddies tonight. They are distressed because of the fireworks and on top of all that Riki is covered in hot spots! Poor baby.

Trying to lift some of the orange with salt from the top left flower. It is just too bright and want to add pink. I may use a little gouache to fix it in the end.

I start to like a painting then I compare it to other water colors on line and I realize I'm still really bad. I do see progress each time.

I worked on this water color all week and it isn't that great. I did learn some things so hopefully my next attempt will be more successful. I have a dried up bouquet that I want to try next. I'm obsessed with dead zinnias! The colors are so shabby chic.

Did a little shopping at Tuesday morning and found these Tim Holtz rub ons. I thought they would work great on the cover of my dylusions journals, I was right. These rub ons are perfect!

I also did a little coloring. This page is so bad I can't even fix it. I do like the others. So fun to just play around in that when procrastinating working on the more challenging water color.

I worked on this watercolor yesterday and when I was done I immediately cut it up because I had jacked up the center. No fixing that shit.

Spent the entire day looking at all my flower photos and every photo I have ever pinned or put on facebook for something new to try.  No luck finding anything so I will do this one again. Let us hope I don't go all "cross hatch" on the new one and it will turn out better.

So excited to try another one of my rapidograph pens with a very fine nib. Worked like magic! I feel like I hit the jackpot with that find. Set of seven pens for 12 bucks! They go for well over 100 bucks on Amazon.
