Top drawer, gelli central.

Looks like nothing but I can hardly move.  Gelli printed the papers then spent all week cutting them into strips and finally tiny tiles.  So, I have been arting you just can't see it.  I hope it is worth it.

We had a tornado only a few miles from here last night.  Lucky no one was hurt when it hit a Friday night football game.  Flattened the bleachers and scoreboard.  Lucky they got everyone to safety.  Peculiar, Mo.  You may have heard of the place.  :)

Stamp Ganesha collage

Worked all the way down the tusk's.  I'm not sure how big this canvas is but I think it is a 20 x 40 inch.

I got started on the stamps today.  I had to lay the canvas flat and my back still hurts. Hoping to watch my posture on this project, I'm also allergic to the glue so going to try to use a brush to spread the glue and barrier cream on my hands.  I wanted to use beeswax to glue and seal the collage because it smells so good and I'm not allergic to it.  It just didn't work that great on my sample piece so I will suffer with some hives for the sake of art.

gelli prints

I started with some striped fabric and decorated my entire bedroom around it.  It sparked many art projects, along with the scarf I made with said fabric.  I made these last four square canvas's with my original prints off the gelli plate.  I had scraps left over from the big striped collage so used them also.  

I can't tell you how much fun I have had.  My husband treated me with new window shades, great cushy new mattress and box springs, and to top it off I have a new dresser and nightstand to be delivered this Friday!  We have been married a long time and all my decorating dreams have come true.  

kuba cloth collage

I've been working on this collage for weeks now.  I really think I'm going to like it.  Who says art can't match the couch?  I took my scarf and used all the colors in it for my palette and used Kuba cloth type patterns for my gelli prints.  I gessoed over a previous collage for the canvas. 

 We are going to paint the room a blueish turquoise.

flower mandala

Did another flower mandala going to put beeswax on it.  Hopefully it'll pull it all together. Or it'll ruin it.  We will see.

I tried to throw this cutesy (winnine the pooh) baby wipe box away because I use mine in my studio not on a baby.  All you art journal girls out there know what I mean.  Instead, I used random pictures of my original art and my grandson and made a collage.  

This was a journal page and a couple pictures of Buster.

 I used this snap shot to paint my coin clown project.

I'm loving this collage. Going to beeswax the whole thing then hang over the guest bed. Will post pics!

Almost done.

Had to get a little advise from the resident flower arranger. My lilacs just didn't look quite right. He has me on the right track now. Cut them apart because I got a little "buckle" when gluing the jar down to the table. Guess I will finish this before I burn it.

Started working on the background. The lilacs are slow going. Using my watercolor pencils.

Latest graduation card.  Used photo shop then distressed it a little more by hand.
