360 of new studio!

 So excited to say that I have finally unpacked ALL the boxes! Still have piles of stuff laying around but all the card board is gone! Ditched the street light. Tried to make it cute but not possible. The damn thing was bolted to the front porch when we bought the house. Not cute there either.

Whoa. Took me three months. I've probably posted some of these pictures but I want to see the 360 myself.

I made a new art friend online and she made me this beautiful card! I was sure that the Elvi were dye cuts but she stamped every image. It is so professionally made and so very thoughtful of her. Found this old fashion cloths dryer when junking last weekend!  I almost threw it away because it was so SMELLY!  I sprayed the hell out of it with Lysol and that only made it worse.  And, I almost gassed myself.   

Threw it outside for the night and then read on the Internet that you can seal in that awful smell.  

I let it set in the sun and dry for almost a week then my husband sealed it with Krylon Matt Sealer.  Worked great. I love having all my paper on display.  

   

I picked up a few easels to hold my Making Memories display trays.  Cool huh?

Buster had bedhead this morning.

John hung my paper behind my door yesterday. I wanted it in the hall but he insisted it stay in the studio. I really don't know what he is talking about. If it were up to me the house would be the studio.

Elvis collage

I made this collage back in 2005. I always loved it but it just wasn't quite right to me. SO! This many years later I remembered my Elvis stamps and took out some pattern tissue and Archival black ink and went to town. I stamped all my favorite Elvis songs in different fonts. Used his name and important dates places. I love the profile stamp he has such a beautiful face. The original collage was made with beeswax so all I had to do was fire up my little mini iron and melt the tissue into the collage. LOVE it!!! The tissue married the whole collage together and it was so fun to add to it and be so happy with the result.

I've been having a lull in my artistic life. Makes for a lot of anxiety. Feel so much happier when I am creating.
