Blue bottle tree

Lets face it, my bottle tree is pitiful. But...found the mother lode of blue bottles at a sale today!

Lucy watched me fix it up.

Found brass  3.00 ea, silk scarves 1.00 ea, tooled leather purses 5.00 ea, the blue bottles 3.00 ea but the grimy red thing was the deal of the day! Telescoping gauges we paid .25. Ha.

My husband knew they were worth much more than that but 125.00 Bucks! Woo Hoo!

Look at this little Red Cross pin I found in my booty 1919.

After waiting fucking 6 to 7 weeks for a phony ass mechanical keyboard from amazon. (My husband told me it was not real) I finally gave up and got a refund and bought this at the local best buy. It is a really good gaming keyboard, but I bought it for the clicking keys! Now I can type again. That apple keyboard was jacked up. I can not stand to wait for anything so this was driving me crazy. Supposedly it was on a slow boat from China...
This silk scarf is from Italy. Seta or silk in english.

paper storage rack

Found this old fashion cloths dryer when junking last weekend!  I almost threw it away because it was so SMELLY!  I sprayed the hell out of it with Lysol and that only made it worse.  And, I almost gassed myself.

Threw it outside for the night and then read on the Internet that you can seal in that awful smell.

I let it set in the sun and dry for almost a week then my husband sealed it with Krylon Matt Sealer.  Worked great. I love having all my paper on display.

I picked up a few easels to hold my Making Memories display trays.  Cool huh?

Metallic thread haul!

We went junking this morning and both are giddy with our finds!  I found this great basket for $1.75 first thing I picked up and it sure came in handy because I filled it up with goodies.
If you look close you will see this is an OVER sized basket.  It is leaning against the bar stools so you can't tell how tall it is.

I love it so I bought the next size smaller.  Buster got to go with us and he is beat.  Too bad Logan missed this sale.

Then I found this baggy full of metallic thread!  Ladies, if you don't know how expensive this stuff is you won't understand my glee when I tell you I paid only $3.75 for ALL!

I do know, because I did purchase the gold box for over $25.00 a few years ago.  I hoarded them until just last month and finally used them to make a great border on my scarf for my bed.  They worked great in my machine.

The cigar boxes were so cheap, I paid maybe $1 or $2 each.  This is a tiny portion of my haul and my husband got some great wood shop tools for amazing prices also.  Best day of junking in like forever!

Coffee jar

The lure of this coffee jar got us out in the 105 heat today.  Ugh.  I paid too much, 15 bucks but it was hot and I have wanted one forever.  Went by the freight store and found all those clips for 3 bucks!  What a deal.  Actually the money I saved there made up for the jar.  Glad to be back home in the air.

new pastels

I picked up some new pastels at my favorite freight store. Played with them last night. Water soluble oils for 3.50!! All colors. Amazing. The soft were 13.95. I'm sure a deal, wanted the big set for 24.00. Maybe next trip they will be marked down.

Had a great day at the flea market today. The copper pieces were a real find for under 10 bucks. And enough spoons to make chimes until my heart is content. And the old raffle tickets are really special as they have Kansas City on them. My hometown.

I had a great junkin day! I got all the 100% silk scarves for only $7.00. That is 50 cents a piece! I love silk and I love all the color! The box of cigar label postcards were a nice find at $10.00.

Okay, it was my birthday yesterday. After Willie's we went to another sale. An upscale antique store liquidation. I found more crystals to complete my project and so much more. I'm still so excited about this stuff. All the frames were so cheap. We spent maybe two hundred bucks the whole day. Can't wait to decorate my house!

John was happy too because this day was much cheaper than flying to Vegas to see the Beatles show. We had considered that trip but decided we wouldn't spend that much to see the real Beatles. :)
