360 of new studio!

So excited to say that I have finally unpacked ALL the boxes! Still have piles of stuff laying around but all the card board is gone! Ditched the street light. Tried to make it cute but not possible. The damn thing was bolted to the front porch when we bought the house. Not cute there either.

Whoa. Took me three months. I've probably posted some of these pictures but I want to see the 360 myself.

Peace mandala

Started working on the peace mandala. You would think I had never picked up a needle. Slow start, I only had a tiny bit of the shiny pink and wish I would have waited to use it until I was a little further along. When my friend suggested I use the peace sign idea with the lace it helped me over the hurdle. Wanted to use both but thought it was two different coat ideas. Thank you Susan.

I was really trying to get to bed the other night when this gal insisted on popping in. I just love my Edgar Cayce doodles. :) You have to be really old to catch that joke.

In the studio

I've emptied my desk and tansu then got distracted melting blue stamps with metal bobbins and peace symbol beads.

Had to break in the middle of the mess and glue down this fabulous paper towel to my 8x8 journal. Such vivid color, will be great to draw a zinnia page with it.

All this crap is for gelli printing. I had it in the tanker desk but then I found while printing I could not get to my texture, stencils, and papers.

Bottom drawer organized within reach with basic texture tools.
Caroline Dube stencil storage idea with my art dolls for company. The flat containers also have stencils in them.
What is all that on the printer? Why, more stencils that were too small for the hanging system. Another Caroline Dube idea. I wish I could say that is all of my stencils but I have a bunch of glue masks I made that are impossible to store neatly. Also a bunch of random kid stencils and fossils that I always find a use for.

buttons

Okay, I found the buttons I was going to use on my chair after I sewed the peace signs on. I also found this random arm...Should I use them (the buttons) or should I continue to spread some peace around?
I was trying this basket out for size for a new desk bed for Riki. He was not amused and I guess he was afraid to move because when I started to pick him up he kicked off big time. Ha. I'm surprised he didn't knock my ink color wheel right off the desk.

hand cut stencils

I finally got the nerve to make some stencils today with my Creative Hotmarks tool.  Very easy and did not burn myself once.  I downloaded some free clip art and printed them on inkjet transparency film.

Steampunk time machine

After my trips to New Orleans and Sparks, KS this spring I finally got inspired to get this time machine out of my head.  I had been collecting the brass and when I found this GIANT light bulb it all came together!  So happy when that happens.  First destination 1969 Woodstock, NY.

Was that Brian Williams or Nostradamus...

on the nightly news tonite?
I worked on this page all weekend. Love that you can still see the yearbook page through the markers. Used the entire sheet of my new peace stamps for the focal point. Bought those the day before Libya.

peace of mind

I worked on this page the last few days. I've been losing my mind trying to set up a new computer. That is supposed to be a happy time. Right? Well it has been a nightmare! I'm not in the right frame of mind to be doing all that. Thank goodness for John. He helped me out tonight and got my printer and scanner working. Whew.

Love the colors on this page and all the layers. May not be done.
