In process

Found these cool drawings I did on Yupo with the elegant writer back in the good ole Paula days.

 Watercolor in process.

These are not so great...worked on transparencies today and used WAY too much!

Elegant live oaks

Did another version of the same tree.  I'm obsessed with this tree.  Back in the day, we would walk the bulkhead down the beach past Buccaneer State Park.  There were tons of live oaks, all mature, all dripping with spanish moss.  I can't even describe how it feels to be in the shade of such majesty.  This park was less than a mile from my house.

Elegant live oak

Really enjoying trying new things this year with my art.  I've often wondered if I could get really good if I stuck with one thing.  But then I do something else.  And then try something totally different.  And now I'm playing with yupo paper and the elegant writer thanks to my friend Paula.  So fun!  http://www.journalartista.com/

Also, it is fun to shop for the new ideas.  Hmmm.  I think it is a racket of some sort.  I go to Amazon and they show me all the new gelli plate sizes.  No.  I lied, I have all the new sizes of the gelli plate in my shopping cart already.  Can't wait to try them!  Just need to hold off before I go buying even more art supplies.

Elegant Writer

I arted along with Paula tonight.  Did the two quick sketches of Riki with the elegant writer by Speedball.  I need practice on exactly how much marker and how much water to use but I like them.

Another upside drawing.  I won't show my childhood landscape lesson.  Enough is enough.

Days like these I am so thankful to have my art to fall back on.  Riki had a bad low sugar spell so I freaked out and had a spell myself.  He is okay now and I'm feeling a little less panic.  Art helps.
Another version.  Tried to control my water and lines a little better.  Such a fun project.

Yupo Paper

This is quite a haul!  I found the yupo paper for a third of the price and the scratchfoam for about half price at my local freight store!  I was so excited just to find these speciality items without having to order them and then found out what a deal I got!  Woo Hoo!
