There is nothing better in the studio than to make a new color chart with some kind of art supply.
Today it was alcohol ink! A little upset about all the duplicate colors I have. JoAnn's ripped me off big time....I ordered all the colors and instead of saying they didn't have that certain one they sent me 3 sailboat blue instead of three different blues. So I have eight colors that are duplicates and a much smaller pallet of colors to choose from. I should have paid more attention to my package when I received them.
Stopped at Hobby Lobby and got six colors I didn't have. Hoping to find a Mississippi green in there somewhere! The color chart most definitely will help.

Alcohol ink live oak
I am not satisfied with my last live oak on Yupo so going to try a couple more times. I drew my stencil with hot glue using past sketches and photos of the wonderful oaks of south Mississippi.
I did this one upside down to turn off my left brain. Will work on inking them up another time, but for now check out this O.C.D. battery storage! Makes me so happy. We have a million batteries and this is GOOD!
I cannot tell you how happy these shelves make me. Ha.

I want this bench so BAD! Love the chili peppers for fall color too.

Puppy play
I love his "Elvis" bangs. I leave them long just for a sweet reminder of the king.
Riki would rather keep playing, instead I stopped so I can blog about these cards I put together last night. Cut a random transparency with alcohol ink and glued it to white cardstock with vellum tape. I made one for my Valentine and one for his mother. So dreamy looking.

Alcohol inks
Pulled out all my original stencils to work with tomorrow on yupo. So fun! Just like when gelli printing, I'm stuck on perfecting the peacock design. Mother nature is the best and most inspiring artist I know.
I'm glad to find another use for my gelli printing supplies because I have a gazillion of them.
