dream in color

I searched my magazines high and low while making this page for another lizard.  Finally gave up.  The very next magazine I opened had this beauty on the inside cover!  I guess he wants a page of his own.  Love this guy on the TV commercials.  Color!

Shrimp boat watercolor

I did some serious cropping on this little painting and like it better now.

"I've been having this on my desk for weeks now",  as they say in New Orleans.  I love the way they talk down there.  First thing my friend and I did last year was "make groceries" for the week.  And, we put them in a buggy, not a cart.

I made the water a little bluer for artistic reasons.  Not real thrilled with it but it was good practice.

I did a little water color of some bleeding heart.  Not that great.  John cut some lilac for me because IT IS SNOWING!  Hopefully all my flowers won't be frozen after this storm is over.

Pencil Heaven

I rearranged my pencils this morning. I put the most treasured and used on the outside. Graphitints, inktense, and watercolor pencils. I have a complete set of lyra skintone that have never been used. I really enjoy the water soluble pencils and ordered some more inktense this morning. I think I have a pencil problem.

Got to try out my new pencils this weekend. Logan discovered his and enjoyed them also.

We got 12" of snow on the first day of spring. I know, right? I enjoyed making this color chart and didn't even step outside for two days.

I started with soft pastels and sprayed with a workable fixative. Then,I went in with more color from my graphite, ink and watercolor pencils. I see this as a future canvas. Love all the color.
