Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain

I got my books from Amazon and have really enjoyed the first few lessons in "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain".  It is really amazing to be totally in the right brain.  The results are amazing compared to before.  I won't show my two portraits because I'm not supposed to look at them again until I'm done.  We will see if I have the nerve to post such messed up art on the Internet.  My Picasso guy got a little big but I still like it.  Did I mention how amazing it is to be in your right brain.  I like to think I spend most my time there!  Little Babushka is ready for spring.  He has spent the last week swaddled like a baby in his pink sling.  We will all be glad for some warm weather around here.  I need flowers.

I forgot to mention that all the above images were drawn upside down!  It tricks your left brain into stepping out of the picture.  So amazing.  Can't believe the difference.  I've always had to grid when drawing and did not use a grid on any of the above.

Added curtains and some of my art back into the craft room.  Can't believe I left the Elvis collage in the basement for almost a year.  The clowns are glad to be back together.  They were scaring the little children in the foyer.  Ha!

Riki didn't know what to think of the snow at first but then we couldn't catch him to come back inside.  I wish I would have had my camera ready few weeks ago.  He went outside and actually did a handstand.  It was cute!

Did a little gelli printing today with the Riki stamps.  He is so cute!

I liked the prints that came straight from the scratchboard on to the deli paper.  Will have to work with it more on the plate to see if I can get better results.  The gelli plate makes a perfect inking plate.

I did this ALL day.  No wonder I'm sore.  Had to finally stop and take a couple of asprin.  I'm allergic to tylenol so have to just endure the pain most the time.  I can't wait to try these out on the gelli plate!
