Birthday Haul!

My sweet husband took me all the way over to my favorite scrapbooking store. On the way we hit a few select estate sales. I got all the wonderful Malaysian greeting cards and Chinese for the low price of five dollars. Such beautiful artwork. Some include the batik fabric they create there. Others are silk. The pot holders and hand marbled silk are another great sample of the wonderful textiles. The Boneka (Indonesian word for doll) is hand carved and painted, his wardrobe is made from royal antique batik sarongs peculiar only to Indonesia. I felt like I stole him for ten dollars. He came with his own box covered in the same fabric. He told me he wanted to come home with me and hang out with the other art dolls.

Was so disappointed at the scrapbook store. They had only two colors left of the color wash dye! That was my main focus for that trip! Well told the lady and she kindly ordered ALL the colors I desired and promised to mail them to me as soon as they arrived! I don't mind waiting for them and will save another trip. Found some great 7 gypsies products while there and a Tattered traveler compass stamp to go with the glimmer screen i bought last time I visited her store. Well off to play....

March garden

The Crocus are in full bloom and the Pasque flower is peeking out.

Spring!

The Magnolia and Bleeding hearts are starting to peek and the Daffodils are in full bloom. Added some Pansies to the show. I usually plant my Pansies in the fall but it stayed way to hot.

Clematis

Spring goodness

Check the riot of color in this crate. This will all go in pots along the back of the pool. I've already have a great show of Clematis, Morning Glory, and California Poppy planted in this 40' long narrow flower bed. I'm thinking these pots with dinner plate Dahlias and Nasturtiums will just add to it.

Super moon

I wish I would have taken my tripod outside with me tonight.

I can put this whole thing in my mouth.

Logan's 10th Birthday!

I made a couple of cute cards for our birthday celebration this weekend.

Was that Brian Williams or Nostradamus...

on the nightly news tonite?
I worked on this page all weekend. Love that you can still see the yearbook page through the markers. Used the entire sheet of my new peace stamps for the focal point. Bought those the day before Libya.

I also got the chipboard letters at Big lots. The only thing I paid full price for was the peace stamps. How cute are they?

Michael's big lot haul

Hey girls Look what I got today! So excited to play tonight. Starting with back row 2 packages of dinner plate Dahlia's. My Grandson and I are going to grow some giant flowers this year. I think it will be a great way to get him into gardening. He helped me move my hosta last fall. He loves to dig and I'm too old so we make a great team. Also a package of anemone de caen. I have grown those once before and they are beautiful.

If you look close you will see that I bought the 7gypsies artist trading card tray! Also some blanks in water color paper. I used my birthday 40% off coupon on that. The Que Sera Sera paper pack was on sale too. Along with the spritz screens and smooch spritz colors. Really just want the color wash but of course they don't carry it...Got the confetti and bead stuff at big lots. So it was a very satisfying haul. Thank you Paula. Ha. I watched you the other night so I just had to go shopping! :) Your transfer page turned out so awesome.

March calender page 2011

Spent the day turning an ugly journal page into this cool March calender page. Really fun and I like it a lot better. Used tissue for background. Which inspired the squares. Colored them with my highlighters!
