clowning around

Putting the darks and lights in with gesso. Brought his brothers over for some inspiration.

Tried to do some sun print dying today and it was a total fail.

coin clown

Almost done sketching my latest clown. Not sure why I have to paint these but this will make three. A series right? That is what I told my grandson anyway. Ha.
I found the picture on flickr. http://www.flickr.com/photos/93779577@N00/4625558222/

Elvis collage

I made this collage back in 2005. I always loved it but it just wasn't quite right to me. SO! This many years later I remembered my Elvis stamps and took out some pattern tissue and Archival black ink and went to town. I stamped all my favorite Elvis songs in different fonts. Used his name and important dates places. I love the profile stamp he has such a beautiful face. The original collage was made with beeswax so all I had to do was fire up my little mini iron and melt the tissue into the collage. LOVE it!!! The tissue married the whole collage together and it was so fun to add to it and be so happy with the result.

I've been having a lull in my artistic life. Makes for a lot of anxiety. Feel so much happier when I am creating.

easy background

Struggled for days with last post and did this in a few minutes. Love this page. I guess it is all about the colors. Not happy with my greens below.

Buster

I spent over three days trying to paint Buster and he spent all that time trying to get me to take him for a walk. What a brat....

Missing already

This was taken this morning but I know that it won't be long and I won't be able to look and swim in this beautiful water! Long winter ahead.

Dullard

I don't like this page but had fun playing anyway.

Family game night

My husband and our Grandson made this board for playing games. It was too plain and we decided to paint it over the weekend. After starting the project I decided to turn it into another game. Parcheesi. My version, that is. Going to use flat marbles for game pieces and decorated the cup with the gold leaf also. Can't wait for Logan to see the final product. We enjoy playing Yahtzee, domino's, and poker when he comes over every other weekend. Buster even gets into the act by jumping up on the table to eat his lunch. Will post more pictures after it is sealed and finished.
