peacock feather

Spent the day working on this feather.  I did it perfect last night then messed it UP!  Sometimes art is all about knowing when to stop!

window jewelry

Added some beads and a feather to the blinds.  I really like the clean look without drapes and it seems much less dusty in there.

I had some fun this weekend practicing the face.  Toreee posted a beautiful girl on pinterest that paints her face in clown makeup.   http://toreee.tumblr.com/tagged/clown

gelli prints

I started with some striped fabric and decorated my entire bedroom around it.  It sparked many art projects, along with the scarf I made with said fabric.  I made these last four square canvas's with my original prints off the gelli plate.  I had scraps left over from the big striped collage so used them also.

I can't tell you how much fun I have had.  My husband treated me with new window shades, great cushy new mattress and box springs, and to top it off I have a new dresser and nightstand to be delivered this Friday!  We have been married a long time and all my decorating dreams have come true.

gelli print collages

I won't know if these look okay until I hang them.  Or posting on the Internet is a quick way to find out if they are horrible!

gelli print collage

I finished this five square today.  Every time I pick up the gel pen for the fine detail Riki needs something.  I like this tonight but may hate it tomorrow.

gelli print collage

This is my first square or canvas I finished today.  So excited to have the ice broken on the creativity front. Who wants to start the New Year blocked?  I have not been blocked at all, as a matter of fact, I brought in the new year working on this piece.  My favorite thing to do in this world.  Art!

I used gelli prints on deli paper to collage the background with matte medium then added a block print.  Finished it off with gold gel pen and a swirly stencil.  I'm going to make at least four of these for my bedroom, maybe six.  They are going to look cool with the original kuba cloth collage I did for over the bed.

I found some great lamps at Tuesday morning for the nightstands.  Can't wait to see it all come together!  I will post pictures when it is all done!
