Funny. I used the same colors just in different order on each page. Whole different look. Like them both.

More dragonflies

My brother posted a photo of the road to our place at the lake on his facebook page the other day. Reminded me of the beautiful dragon flies that would share the lake with us on those magical days of floating on inner tubes for hours and hours. Only then to remember those damn horse flies that would buzz in on our bliss and bite the hell out of us and send all into the lake in retreat! Those were the days my friend.

Inventory shopping book

First thing I did was punch out a bunch of tabs from a file folder. Glued them every five pages or so. Used a "notebook page" stamp to add lines to each page. Then started entering my inventory with my inks. I have an ink problem...I have a buying problem. My studio is better than my local Michael's. I should swear off shopping instead of making a shopping aide.

This is the second inventory book I have made. I learned from the first one that I should have put everything in alphabetical order. Also used tickets for tabs on the first book and just wasn't working for me. Fun to make and fun to use.

no diving

Had to move the no diving sign off my desk for a while. Worked on it for too long and can't trim tile anymore. My hand just won't work. Will rest my carpel tunnel and do some other art. I played around with some clear marbles last night. So cool.

Velvet heating pad

Whipped up this project along with many others today. Got so sick of looking at that nasty blue cover on my heating pad. I lined the new cover with cotton batting and used a beautiful cotton velvet on one side with a indian block print on the other.

quick art

I did this last night in about 5 minutes. Love how it turned out and can't wait to use this image in my journal. I'm sure y'all have seen this on pinterest.

I think I may have to take tomorrow off. I work too long when I start a project like this. Hurt myself.

Scrapbook haul

Got some great bargains at my favorite scrapbook store. Also found the memories white dye ink! So excited about it!

I think this is better.

What I love about the computer is that when I put a picture up I can immediately see where I've gone wrong. After I posted last night I pulled off the top of the o before I went to bed. Unfortunately I woke at 4am and haven't been able to go back to sleep. I am not a morning person...

dragon fly

Did this page in my journal with the left over pieces from my cards. As you can see the color in my scanner is way off. I took this photo with my Nikon D50.

cards

I made some cards yesterday. Well I made a couple ugly cards yesterday and these are the replacements I finished this morning. Ha. They can't all be good. Right?

Okay, broke down and bought more smalti today. Home Depot has an entire line of travertine mosaic tiles. So exciting for me because that is what we have around the pool and the patio. John did the back porch steps with the travertine pavers last year. It is a natural stone and reminds me of the keystone in Florida. It also stays cooler than the concrete and adds a great organic feel.

old bottles

I got all of these at the thrift store for 1.50. What a deal. Looks like some more altered bottles in my future.

I tried to get John to give me some money for some smalti. Looks like I may have it covered. Did some gold leaf work behind the water so it will catch the sun. Really like it so far. Haven't glued anything down just playing with the colors.
